UN FIBC CLOSING INSTRUCTIONS

It has been brought to our attention that according to regulation, we, the supplier of UN bags need to provide our customers with closing instructions. So, without further delay:

Pursuant to (USA) 49 CFR 178.2 (c), all UN regulated FIBC’s manufactured SUNJUT shall be closed/secured in the following manner:

Grab top spout material in middle and bunch together.

Wrap tie tape material twice around bunched material.

This is done by making sure the two pieces of tie tape are wrapped in opposite directions.

After this is completed, tie the two ends of the tie tape together.

If the bag has an interior liner, the liner may be bunched and tied off with the top spout or the liner may first be goosed neck and secured by an out-sourced closing device, such as a nylon cable tie.

In this instance, the goose necked liner would be pushed below the top spout after being secured and the top spout would be secured as stated above.
